MARSHALL VOSLER

Dart (she/her) holds a Bachelors in Theatre from ASU, is a certified teacher of Fitzmaurice Voicework®, an Advanced Actor Combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors and is a traditional storyteller trained by Liz Weir, MBE. Previous roles include Feste - Twelfth Night, Henry V - Henry V (Ronin Theatre) EN: 2021 (Ren Gyo Soh), Edgar - King Lear, Benvio - Romeo and Juliet, Olivia -Twelfth Night (Southwest Shakespeare), John Wesley Powell in Men on Boats (ASU). Dart is passionate about safety and accessibility in classrooms, rehearsal spaces and onstage. She has led numerous workshops and trainings. Previous Fight choreography includes FAIRVIEW, GLORIA, POTUS (Stray Cat Theatre) HAMLET, MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM (Flagstaff Shakespeare Festival), RICHARD II, MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM (Southwest Shakespeare Company), OTHELLO (SSC/Harlem Shakespeare Festival). ROMEO & JULIET (Glendale Community College).

Courtney (she/her) is an award winning stage manager, actress, and combat specialist, having worked around the state of Arizona and southern California. She is an Advanced Actor Combatant in good standing with the Society of American Fight Directors. She has certifications in all eight taught weapons as well as proficiency in theatrical firearms safety.

She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Arts and Performance with a minor in Film Production from ASU West (Magna Cum Laude) and her Masters in Management in International Arts Management (with Honors) from SMU and HEC Montreal where she studied around the globe in Dallas, TX, Montreal, Canada, Bogotá, Colombia, Mumbai and New Delhi, India, Beijing, China, and Naples, Rome, Venice, and Milan, Italy. She also recently received her AAFA in Theatre (with Honors) from Paradise Valley Community College and was the first in the program to graduate with the CCL in Stage Combat.

You may have seen her onstage in the past few years as Mrs. Boyle in THE MOUSETRAP or Molly in PETER AND THE STARCATCHER (PVCC), but she spends the majority of her time split between stage management (recent credits include THE FLORA AND FAUNA (Bridge Initiative), KINKY BOOTS, A A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM (PVCC) and THE TEMPEST (Phoenix College)) and fight choreography (recent credits include THE LIGHTNING THIEF (Mesa Encore Theatre), ROMEO AND JULIET, TWELFTH NIGHT (Flagstaff Shakespeare), MISADVENTURES OF MURDER (PVCC, for which she won a Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Meritorious Achievement Award), and THE MONSTER OF TEMPE TOWN LAKE (Ronin Theatre Company)).

Marshall (he/him) has a Bachelor of Arts in Theater from Arizona State University (with a special thanks to retired ASU professor David Barker for being his first ever Stage Combat instructor!). He is a certified Advanced Actor Combatant, with recommended certification in all 8 main weapon styles offered through the SAFD. Also through the SAFD, with training under Dale Girard, Marshall has a Theatrical Firearm Safety certification. He also recently graduated from his training under Andrea Robertson with the Stage Combat CCL Program at PVCC, where he is the first student to go from beginning to end of the program since its inception in the Fall of 2021.

Recent Stage Combat work include a series of Stage Combat workshops at Thunderbird High School, as well as choreographing the fights for their production of MACBETH, PVCC’s production of SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE (for which he served as one of the choreographers, fight captain, and armorer AND performed the character of Ned Alleyn), and PVCC’s Theater Day, where he taught a series of Stage Combat workshops for multiple groups of high schools.

Outside of Stage Combat, Marshall is a practitioner of a multitude of other visual and physical art forms including mask making, mask performance, puppetry, and sculpting through the Cultural Coalition’s Apprenticeship Program under Maestro Zarco Guererro. Marshall can be seen working with Zarco and performing in a myriad of Cultural Coalition festivals and showcases each year, such as “Mask Alive! Festival of Masks”, “Mikiztli: Dia de los Muertos Festival”, and “El Puente Festival”. Marshall also has extensive Wushu training under Kenny Perez at Dynamic Martial Arts, as well as Jinheng Li at World Martial Arts
